New photos
I've updated my photos page with a few new pictures I took earlier today. The light wasn't particularly good, so they're not the best quality.
I was hoping to get some new pictures of Caitlin today but when I went round they weren't in. And when I tried to call Shaun I found that I had no credit on my phone. :(

Traffic
The traffic to and from York is very variable. Some days the roadsare nearly clear and the bus breezes along; other times we grind to a halt and seem to be stationary for ages. It can often man a difference in arrival times of up to half an hour. The only patterns I've been able to detect are that it's always much better when the schools are on holiday; and that Fridays are better than Mondays. :)
Word Processing
Now that I have my new keyboard for the PDA, I think I should invest in a simple word processing program to install on it. At the moment I'm just typing into the memo program. If anyone knows of something suitable for a Palm m105, then please send me a link.
Stuck
I was playing Beyond Good and Evil again last night and got stuck on one of the bosses. I know exactly what I'm supposed to do, but I just keep dying when I try. It's the first time I've been frustrated by this game like this, but I'll persevere as it's an excellent game otherwise.
Looking forward to my holiday
I'm going on my holiday in just over two weeks' time. June and I are going on a cruise and it will be really cool to get away from it all in real style and spend two weeks relaxing.
I've never been on a cruise before and worried that it would be a little too formal for my tastes, but then I thought, what the heck, I don't care. It will be fun and that's what counts.
Does anyone know the rules to Deck Quoits? :)
No cigar...
Well, we didn't win the Game Developers Choice Award. Ah well, it was good to be nominated at least.
A must read
Take a look at this list. I think that it's hilarious. Thanks to the Urban Badger for pointing the way.

On the move
I'm typing this on the bus on the new keyboard I bought to go with my Palm PDA. It's a pretty clever piece of engineering and would be much better if the bus wasn't jerking around like crazy. :)
It actually sits on my knee much better than a laptop computer in the confined space, but has a tendency to slide about when going around corners. I need to find something less slippery to put on my knee when typing, so any suggestions will be more than welcome.
The weight loss continues...
I got weighed this morning and found that I'm down to 13st 12lb - a loss of 18lbs so far. It must be years since I was last below 14st.
Spreading out
One thing I've noticed about young people on the bus is that they don't like sharing seats if they can avoid it. The three double seats in front of me are taken up by three young women sitting on one seat each. Where does this come from?

People smells
Have you noticed how some people have very distinctive smells about them and not always pleasant. They pass you by or sit near you on the bus or in the pub and you get a strong wafting of their aroma. A guy I know must have a young family because he always seems to smell of baby milk (just don't ask me how you milk a baby). Many years ago I knew a woman who used to put so much perfume on that even standing near to her for a few minutes would infuse you with her smell. Then there was the guy who would get on the bus every evening after working on the pig farm and by the time he got off fifteen minutes later we would all be nearly gagging from the stench.
Then this morning a woman got on the bus and sat in the seat in front of me. Her aroma wafted back to me and I was a little surprised to find that she smelled of tea and biscuits.

Colouring The Sapphire Claw
At last I've finished colouring all the outstanding episodes. In a bit of a marathon colouring session over the last few days I have brought myself completely up to date. All the latest episodes (31 - 39) have been put on the site and you can view the first of them here.
What this means, of course, is that I can now start thinking of new episodes again. :)

Online Games
Guild Wars is an online game that will be free to play for those who want to try it out and will then if you want to continue you will pay for each installment, rather than a monthly subscription fee. Sounds intriguing and the screenshots look pretty good. And for those without broadband, you can even play on a dial-up modem. Too good to be true?
