I now have representation
I got a call a couple of days ago from Phil Morris of AllintheGame and he invited me to join his new game writers' agency, which I have done. You can read the press announcement here and here. The agreement doesn't prevent me from finding my own work, so it's like I have double the opportunities (in theory).
There is also a paragraph about me in the latest Develop magazine, in the studio directory section. Apparently I'm "multi-talented" - it's really good to have these things confirmed in the press. :)
Article on writing
I was asked to contribute and article on writing for games to the Get In the Game website. I finished the piece this morning and sent it off, so my fingers are crossed that it's what they want. I'll let you know if and when it gets published.
June's home at last
It seems like forever that she's been in the hospital (just over a week) and it's great to have her back home once more. She's actually much more mobile that I would have expected, even managing to climb the stairs - though with great care.
She's been told to keep the dressing off the wound and it looks quite ferocious. It's held together with staples instead of sutres, so it looks like something out of a horror game. I should take a picture of it - I'm sure it would make a great texture for a game character. :)
I'm hoping that I can get back into some sort of routine once more, as I feel as though my mind has been all over the place this past week. I have done a fair bit of writing, but with visiting the hospital and missing June here at home it's been difficult to concentrate.
I'm really glad she's back.

June's on the mend
At least her sarcastic wit is. I was a little concerned about her at the weekend as I don't think I've seen anyone so pale and she complained of feeling constantly dizzy, even when lying on the bed. The doctors were also concerned and gave her a blood transfusion this morning. By this afternoon she was feeling much better.
The problem with the dizziness has put her a couple of days behind in her progress towards getting movement back in her knee again, so at the moment we don't know when she will be released.
June tells me that the food is pretty bad, which can't be helping the recovery process if you don't feel in the mood to eat it. In order to combat this I took her in a few current slices today and this perked her up quite a bit. I'm hoping that before the end of the week she'll be back home once more. She really needs to as the cat keeps giving me funny looks - I'm sure she thinks I've done June and buried her in the woods...
