Parents, eh?
I went to visit my parents this afternoon and after exchanging the usual pleasantries my mother offered me a toffee. I try not to eat too many sweets because of my tendency to put weight on, but I took one this time. I couldn't believe my eyes a little later when I realised that my mother had taken out her false teeth because the toffee had stuck to them. She was sitting there with her teeth in her hand tugging at the large chunk of toffee adhered to them. Once freed, she put teeth and then toffee back into her mouth and continued chewing, a bit baffled why my son, Jason, and I were falling about laughing. I was reminded of when I was young and my maternal grandmother would do similar things. If she had her teeth in at all, that is - she only tended to put hers in on special occasions like Christmas. I now live in fear that this is hereditary and in my old age I will do things that are both slightly disgusting and highly amusing to my children and grandchildren...

Developing Thoughts
The latest of my weekly columns has been published at the Randomville website and can be read here. Very different it tone, it looks at something very specific to Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon in order to illustrate how research can lead you to unexpected places.

Article about Blinkx
I'd never even heard of this, but clearly many people have. I've just read an interesting article on the Guardian website about it and I'm now going to check it out. there may be more to follow...
The First Review
At least, the first review that I'm aware of. Crescent and Claw has been reviewed over at The Sharpened Sword website and can be read here.
I'd like to thank Peter for the kind words and for taking the time to put together his thoughts. Good one.
